This scholarship model is no longer active. No new scholarships are being issued using this model. Instead, please review the Bachelor model for the nearest alternative.
The Level 2 scholarship consists of 9-15 credit hours and is most often used by those wishing to take early childhood related courses towards a Bachelors Degree in early care and education. Level 2 can be applied to early childhood specific courses only at a local college or university, as an introduction to the field, to supplement a degree in an unrelated field, to meet licensing requirements, or to meet an administrator credential requirement.
Level 2 is the only scholarship level that supports courses in early childhood for a Bachelors Degree. All general education courses are supported through Level 3 scholarships only. If you still need to take general education courses towards a BA, a Level 3 is where you would start with T.E.A.C.H. Missouri. We ask that you complete all general education courses at a two-year college prior to moving to your early childhood coursework at a four-year college. Scholarships at Level 2 can be maintained for as many years as it takes to earn a degree based on the availability of funding through T.E.A.C.H. Missouri.
Level 2 may best suit your needs if you are:
- A teacher, director, assistant, aide, owner/teacher, or owner/director
- Seeking a Bachelor degree in early childhood education and you already have an AA or AAS or all of your general education courses completed or
- You are seeking an introduction to the field of early childhood to supplement a degree in an unrelated field.

Level 2-Teachers
If you are a teacher, director, assistant or aide in a licensed center or group home and want to apply for a Level 2 Scholarship, you should complete the recipient packet using the link below. Your director or the program owner should complete the program packet. Both portions must be submitted in order for your packet to be complete and for your name to go on the waiting list for a scholarship. You can also use the fax cover sheet to fax your completed forms if that is convenient for you. Note: this is not the appropriate paperwork for a program owner.
