{"id":37,"date":"2014-04-01T02:43:24","date_gmt":"2014-04-01T02:43:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.185.110.60\/~teachmo\/?page_id=37"},"modified":"2014-11-20T13:41:09","modified_gmt":"2014-11-20T19:41:09","slug":"eligibility","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/intagliodev.com\/teach-mo\/eligibility\/","title":{"rendered":"Eligibility"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Scholarship Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Who is eligible for a scholarship?<\/strong><br \/>\nAll teachers, directors, assistants, on-site owners, and family group or home child care\u00a0staff who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a desire to earn college credit towards a national Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), an Associate degree (AA\/AAS\/AAT) or a Bachelor&#8217;s degree (BA\/BS) in early childhood care &amp; education<\/li>\n<li>Work directly with the children 0 to 5 years old\u00a0<em>daily<\/em> in a <strong>licensed<\/strong> child care\u00a0program<\/li>\n<li>Are 18 years of age or older and have a GED or high school diploma<\/li>\n<li>Work directly with children at least 30 hours a week in a child care program<\/li>\n<li>Make under $15.00\/hr as a teacher or\u00a0assistant\u00a0and $16.50\/hr as a director or owner<\/li>\n<li>Be authorized to work in the U.S.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Eligibility is contingent upon your sponsoring employer&#8217;s participation. The scholarship is a partnership between the recipient, sponsoring employer and T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI. Each partner has designated financial and service responsibilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Owners of family child care homes and centers act as their own sponsors.<\/li>\n<li>T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI operates a continuous <i>waiting list<\/i>. To be placed on the waiting list, you must complete the application packet, accessed online at <a title=\"Scholarship Opportunities\" href=\"http:\/\/intagliodev.com\/teach-mo\/scholarship-opportunities\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">www.intagliodev.com\/teach-mo<\/span><\/span><\/a>, and send (fax, email or postage paid mail) it to the T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI office.\u00a0 All complete application packets will be added to the waiting list.<\/li>\n<li>Potential scholarship recipients on the waiting list are called a month and a half prior to the start of each semester.\u00a0 Scholarships are awarded based on funding availability.\u00a0 Those on the waiting list who do not receive a scholarship in the given semester are kept on the list for 12 months.<\/li>\n<li>If you have applied more than 12 months ago, you need to complete and submit a new application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scholarship Requirements Who is eligible for a scholarship?
